Time Ring, a 2009 project in collaboration with Elisabetta Cipriani Gallery, consists of three gold rings of various colours of gold, each with a single LED digit display counting continually from 9 to 1 or 1 to 9, but never reaching a zero. These cycles from 1 to 9 represent the perpetual continuity of time and life, with 0 never appearing on the display. This theory derives partially from humanist ideas and the teaching of Buddhism. The counting speed ranges from 0.1 to 299.9 seconds which can be customised by the owner to reflect their feelings about the pace at which their life is flowing.
